Shputnik is a set of three Scottish jigs: Jimmy Macgregor, originally a pipe tune; Shputnik In Glenshiel, a contemporary tune written by the late, legendary Martyn Bennett; and another puirt-a-beul melody, Nighean na Cailleach Crotach Crupach or The Daughter Of The Humpbacked And Lame Old Woman, an upbeat tune from the far north-west of Scotland.
